Tesco Value Cookies

Advantages: CHEAP AS CHIPS

Disadvantages: HAD DODGY TASTES AND NOT FAT ENOUGH!

Well I used to buy these, dead cheap, you get loads of cookies, (over 50, there are 2 packs of 300g inside the bag)
The first times i bought the cookies they were fine, they weren't exceptional, but they were biscuits and tasted like plain ordinary cookies.

If you want the best cookies i recommend Maryland Cookies (red pack) you get only like 12/15 in there but they're always great. I always eat my cookies with a dip of either tea or milk. Makes it much more worth-while.

One day when i bought another pack of Tesco cookies (because i was gobbling these quick time) (like a year ago) all the cookies tasted very different, the taste i can only describe as coconuty (like coconut). I thought this was a one off, so I got another pack and noticed the same odd taste, i finally figured that they must have changed the recipe or I must have finally developed sensible taste buds. Either way since then I have never bough Tesco cookies again, I am tempted to try to do so again sometime, and will add to this review to let you know if they have changed. (I must make it clear here I am definitely not dissing the tesco brand, as they offer the finest strawberry cheesecake and many other fine tesco value products. (see the tesco review for more info). It would be interesting to see if they made cookies from the Tesco Finest brand, and see how good they are.

The best cookies money can buy are: Tennessee Cookies - these are giant American cookies, can be bought from LIDL, - but these are expensive like £1.00 a pack and you get maybe 15 (don't quote me on that), the more sensible best cookies are maryland's which are great. These do not break when you dip them quite as quickly as the tesco ones, they also have more 'meat on the bone' - cookies are fatter and don't have that weird taste I described. (p.s maryland cookies available in lidl and tesco from (75p-£1.35) i expect tesco and lidl would be very cheap like 65p, they are often on offer like buy one get one free though - they also have more flavours like hazlenut as well and white chocolate - all of them are amazing!) (- Ill write a review about maryland cookies!)

Summary: Cheap, dodgy?
